Welcome to 1986 is an experimental motion graphics project made as my first foray into TouchDesigner. Using a wide mix of SOPs, TOPs, CHOPs, and COMPs I created this audio reactive and lightly interactive piece.
The cubes pulse and change size as a reaction to the audio CHOPs, which are linked to the scale property in the master cube's transform node. The glitch effect was created by linking noise and displace TOPs, as well as LFO and math CHOPs. The cubes also rotate ninety degrees with every press of the "1" key on the keyboard as a result of keyboard, count, and math CHOPs.
